Magaly Benitez, aged 62, tragically lost her life on October 3, 2018, in Miami, FL, in what authorities have classified as a murder-suicide. The incident occurred in Doral, a suburb of Miami, where Magaly was shot by her husband, 65-year-old David Tojeiro Junco. The shooting took place at a strip mall located at Northwest 87th Court.
