On December 23, 2018, Destiny Loper, a 17-year-old girl from Saint Petersburg, Florida, tragically lost her life in an accidental shooting. The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m. while Destiny was in a moving vehicle near Central Avenue and 58th Street. According to reports, a gun accidentally discharged inside the vehicle, striking Destiny.
