On the morning of May 24, 2019, 25-year-old Melvin Young was fatally shot near Tamarind Avenue in West Palm Beach, Florida. The West Palm Beach Police Department received an alert from their ShotSpotter technology at approximately 10:31 a.m., indicating gunfire at 905 22nd Street.
