Jabari Gilbert, a 19-year-old African American male from Tallahassee, Florida, tragically lost his life on July 10, 2019. The incident occurred at The Hub student apartments on Ocala Road, where a drug deal went horribly wrong. According to reports, Jabari Gilbert and a 17-year-old girl, Rrionna Godwin, had arranged to meet Robert Simmons, a 22-year-old man, for a marijuana transaction.
