Capt. James M. Gilliard, a 48-year-old fire-rescue captain from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, tragically died on November 2, 2020. His death occurred under suspicious circumstances involving his friend, Jay B. Rind. According to reports, Gilliard was fatally shot by Rind while the latter was showing him a gun he intended to give him.
