Osmar Oliva, a 50-year-old Hispanic male, was found dead on December 5, 2020, in Opa-locka, Florida. Oliva, who owned Oliva Delivery Corp., was kidnapped along with Johan Gonzalez Quesada, a 26-year-old Hispanic male, by masked men. The victims were tied up, tortured for hours in the back of a moving-type truck, and then shot execution-style before their bodies were dumped in the yard of an abandoned house.
A third man, whose identity has not been disclosed, survived the ordeal and was able to flag down a passerby for help.
The investigation into their deaths revealed that the men were kidnapped from a truck yard in Opa-locka. The perpetrators, identified as James Edward Daniels, 59, and Frederick Eugene Rudolph, 69, along with other co-conspirators, bound and tortured the victims after stealing their drugs. The victims were driven around the city for hours before being taken to the abandoned house where they were shot. The third victim, who survived, was airlifted to a trauma unit and was in critical condition.
Both Osmar Oliva and Johan Gonzalez Quesada had previous brushes with the law, including involvement in a cargo theft case. The investigation was carried out by the Miami-Dade Police Department Homicide Bureau, the FBI Miami Division Homestead Resident Agency, and the DEA Homestead Office as part of the South Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force.
In December 2024, James Edward Daniels and Frederick Eugene Rudolph were found guilty of conspiracy to commit kidnapping resulting in death, multiple counts of kidnapping resulting in death, and kidnapping. They face up to life in prison, criminal fines of up to $250,000 for each count, and up to a lifetime on supervised release. A third defendant, Herbert Barr, 56, pleaded guilty to kidnapping in November 2024. The authorities have offered a reward of $5,000 for information leading to further arrests.

Oliva's widow described him as a "very good person" and expressed her confusion over why this happened to him.
