Shandell Harris, a 30-year-old woman from Miami, FL, tragically lost her life on April 3, 2022, in a violent incident at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center in North Miami Beach. The events leading to her death began the day before, when her husband, Carl Watts Jr., allegedly stabbed her at their North Miami apartment. Harris managed to escape and sought refuge at her mother's house, where they contacted the police. Despite their efforts, Watts was not apprehended at that time.
