On the evening of September 4, 2024, at approximately 9:29 p.m., 33-year-old Joseph Buenrostro was fatally shot in East Los Angeles. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of South Fetterly Avenue, situated between Telegraph Road and East Olympic Boulevard. Responding to reports of gunfire, deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department arrived at the scene and found Buenrostro with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was pronounced dead at 9:42 p.m.
