Kevin Dean Reida, a five-year-old boy from Orcutt, California, tragically lost his life on April 25, 1965, during a mass shooting incident on U.S. Highway 101. The perpetrator, 16-year-old Michael Andrew Clark, carried out the attack from a hilltop overlooking the highway. Clark, who had taken a Swedish Mauser military rifle and a pistol from his father's locked gun safe, began shooting at passing cars early that morning.
