John Pariset, aged 28, tragically lost his life on March 25, 1984, in Auburn, California. The circumstances surrounding his death were both violent and shocking. John and his brother, Robert Pariset, were in the area for fishing and gold panning when they encountered William Paul Thompson and Robert Herman Boyle at a local bar known as Murderer's Bar. The four men spent the evening drinking and socializing, eventually moving to Thompson and Boyle's campsite to continue their activities.
