Paulina Aquino Lopez, a 21-year-old resident of San Ysidro, California, tragically lost her life on July 18, 1984, during what became known as the San Ysidro McDonald's massacre. This horrific event unfolded when James Huberty, a 41-year-old man, entered the McDonald's restaurant in San Ysidro and opened fire indiscriminately, resulting in the deaths of 21 people, including Paulina, and injuring 19 others.
