Jose Ruben Lozano-Perez, a 19-year-old resident of San Ysidro, California, tragically lost his life on July 18, 1984, during the infamous San Ysidro McDonald's massacre. This horrific event unfolded when James Oliver Huberty, a 41-year-old man armed with multiple firearms, entered a McDonald's restaurant in the San Ysidro neighborhood and began a shooting spree that lasted for 77 minutes.
