Carlos Reyes, an 8-month-old infant, tragically lost his life on July 18, 1984, during what became known as the San Ysidro McDonald's massacre. This horrific event unfolded when a gunman opened fire at a McDonald's restaurant in San Ysidro, California, resulting in the deaths of 21 people and injuries to 19 others.
