Elger McNamara, aged 57, tragically lost his life on January 5, 1985, in a horrific incident at his family's ranch in Santa Barbara, California. The massacre, which has been described as the worst in Santa Barbara County's history, involved the brutal shooting of Elger, his wife Florence, their daughter Diane Trenner, and Diane's 4-year-old daughter, Kellin Trenner.
