Detective Thomas Charles Williams Jr., a 42-year-old veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, was tragically killed on October 31, 1985, in Canoga Park, Los Angeles, California. Williams was ambushed and assassinated while picking up his 6-year-old son from a church daycare center. The attack was a calculated move to prevent him from testifying in an upcoming robbery trial.
