On November 1, 2023, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 3100 block of West Pico Boulevard in the Harvard Heights area of Los Angeles. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Deshawan Greenfield, who was experiencing homelessness, suffering from a gunshot wound. Tragically, Greenfield was pronounced dead at the scene.
