Douglas B. Miller, a 35-year-old deputy sheriff with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, tragically lost his life on June 9, 1986. Miller was responding to a call regarding an emotionally disturbed individual, Michael Robert Stephens, in an unincorporated area near Los Gatos.
