David Towns, aged 36, was tragically murdered on September 23, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. His death was part of a series of killings committed by Michael Player, infamously known as "The Skid Row Slayer." Player targeted mostly homeless individuals in the Skid Row area, attacking them from behind and shooting them execution-style. David Towns was one of the victims in this spree, which began on September 4, 1986, and continued until Player's arrest in October of the same year.
