Herman Owens, a 34-year-old man from Los Angeles, was tragically killed on April 13, 2015. The incident occurred in the Central-Alameda neighborhood, specifically in the 1100 block of East 52nd Street. Owens was standing on the sidewalk with a group of people when an SUV approached, and someone inside the vehicle began shooting at the group. Owens, along with two others, was struck by the gunfire.
