Lori Anne Rochon, aged 36, tragically lost her life on July 6, 1989, in Oakland, California. Her death was part of a series of random and brutal attacks carried out by Charles Arnett Stevens, a spree killer who terrorized the Oakland area during the spring and summer of 1989. Stevens, described as an "urban hunter" and "recreational killer," targeted individuals on or near Interstate 580, shooting at them with a semi-automatic handgun.
