Don Joseph Burt, a 25-year-old California Highway Patrol officer, tragically lost his life on July 13, 1996, in Fullerton, California. Officer Burt was conducting a routine traffic stop on Nutwood Avenue when he discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle on a suspended license.
