James Warren Lehmann Jr., a Deputy Sheriff with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, tragically lost his life on January 5, 1997, at the age of 42. Lehmann, along with his partner Deputy Michael Haugen, responded to a domestic violence call in the early hours of the morning near Sagebrush Avenue and Chaparral Road in Whitewater, Riverside County.
