Derrick Carlisle, a 27-year-old employee of the California Department of Motor Vehicles and father of two young daughters, was tragically shot and killed on August 17, 2019, at a hookah bar in Riverside, California. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, and Carlisle was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers and paramedics.
