On a Sunday afternoon in Baltimore, the life of Derron Strickland, a 35-year-old Black / African American man, was tragically cut short. On February 26, 2017, in the 2600 block of West Fairmount Avenue, Strickland was the victim of a fatal shooting. The incident prompted a response from the Baltimore City Police, who arrived at the scene to begin their investigation into the city's latest act of gun violence.
