Jason Allen Alvarez, a 29-year-old Latino man, tragically lost his life on December 2, 2007, in Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Houston Street in the LAPD's Hollenbeck area. Alvarez and a companion had stopped on a street corner where some Hispanic men or youths were engaged in underground business.
