Daisy Flores, a 26-year-old Latina from Los Angeles, California, passed away on September 4, 2009. Her death was a tragic culmination of complications stemming from a shooting incident that occurred eight years prior. On that fateful day, Daisy was caught in a gang-related shooting at the intersection of Malabar Street and Evergreen Avenue in Boyle Heights.
