Siria Imelda Portillo Torres, a 36-year-old Latina, tragically lost her life on May 9, 2015, in Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. outside Lupillo’s Bar, located in the 1400 block of South Western Avenue in the Harvard Heights neighborhood. According to reports, Torres was standing outside the bar when she was struck by gunfire. Witnesses recounted that after being shot, she managed to walk into the bar before collapsing.
