He then called the police himself. When authorities arrived, they found Espinoza inside the home, and Guerrero-Cruz was pronounced dead in her bedroom at 8:26 p.m.
Espinoza was immediately arrested on suspicion of murder. The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office charged him with one count of murder, including an allegation that he fired a gun during the incident.
