Giovanni Lamas, a 4-year-old boy from Inglewood, California, tragically lost his life on October 20, 2012, during a violent incident at his home. The incident occurred when Desmond John Moses, a 55-year-old neighbor, opened fire on the Lamas family. Moses, who was reportedly upset over an eviction notice, targeted the family in a rampage that also resulted in the death of Giovanni's father, Filimon Lamas, and injuries to Giovanni's mother, Gloria Jimenez, and his siblings.
