Joshua Williams, a 24-year-old former college football player, was tragically shot and killed on June 14, 2016, in Inglewood, California. The incident occurred around 5:36 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Van Ness Avenue. Officers from the Inglewood Police Department responded to a call reporting a shooting victim and found Williams in the street with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m.
