He was a respected student at Johnston Community Day School in San Pedro, working diligently to earn his high school diploma with aspirations of joining the Marine Corps.
The investigation into Temblador's death revealed that he was an innocent victim of gang violence. Three suspected gang members, identified as Mario "Goblin" Delgado, 20, Hassen "Hazard" Quezada, 26, and Robert "Baby Largo" Trujillo, 19, were arrested in connection with the murder. These individuals, all members of the Westside Wilmington gang, were allegedly roaming rival territory looking for someone to kill when they encountered Temblador. The suspects were charged with murder, with additional enhancements for committing the crime with a firearm and for the benefit of a gang.
The arrests were made possible through diligent detective work by the Los Angeles Police Department's Harbor Division. Detectives received crucial information that led them to the suspects, although the specific details of how they were identified have not been disclosed. The suspects were apprehended on December 3, 2013, and subsequently charged. They appeared in Long Beach court, where their arraignment was postponed, and each was held in county jail on $2 million bail.
