Alexander "Alex" Marshall, a 17-year-old from Murphys, California, tragically lost his life on February 3, 2013. Alex, along with his 14-year-old sister Macaila, was found dead in their home in the Forest Meadows neighborhood. The siblings were discovered on a couch, each having suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. Their father, Phillip Marshall, a former airline pilot and author, was also found dead inside the home, having apparently turned the gun on himself after killing his children
