On July 3, 2017, Ronnie Banks, a 56-year-old man, was shot inside a convenience store in West Baltimore. The incident took place at the Franklin Grocery Store on the 800 block of North Carey Street. Banks was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were initially unclear, and no immediate arrests were reported.
