Joanna Espinoza, a 15-year-old Latina, was tragically shot and killed on April 23, 2014, in Willowbrook, California. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. when Joanna was standing at the bottom of a staircase in a two-story apartment complex on South Wilmington Avenue. She was accompanied by a man when a Latino male approached them. According to Lt.
