As they stood in front of their residence on the 1400 block of West 104th Street, a dark-colored sedan approached. Two men exited the vehicle and began firing at the couple. Unfortunately, Tynisa was struck by the bullets and collapsed near the front door. Despite her husband's efforts to protect their three children inside, Tynisa succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight.
The investigation into Tynisa's murder revealed that the assailants were two black men who fled the scene in the dark-colored sedan, heading eastbound on 104th Street.
