Buenobaca was crossing North Poinsettia Avenue when a dark-colored SUV approached. A person in the right front passenger seat exited the vehicle and opened fire, fatally wounding Buenobaca.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:05 a.m. The SUV then fled south on North Poinsettia Avenue. Despite the broad daylight nature of the crime and the presence of potential witnesses, no one has come forward with information that could lead to an arrest.
