John Louis Sawyer, a 52-year-old man from Los Angeles, California, was tragically shot and killed on February 9, 2015. The incident occurred in the 8900 block of South Central Avenue in the Green Meadows neighborhood. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Sawyer was standing on the sidewalk shortly before 10 p.m. when an unknown assailant approached him and opened fire.
