Donya Blanton, a 19-year-old from Vallejo, California, tragically lost her life on August 14, 2015, in Richmond, CA. She was found shot in the parking lot of the Booker T. Anderson Community Center. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. when officers responded to the area of South 47th Street and Cypress Avenue after receiving an alert from the ShotSpotter detection system, which indicated nine shots had been fired.
