Lana Rae Meisner, the wife of Eagles co-founder Randy Meisner, tragically died on March 6, 2016, at the age of 63 in Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred at the couple's home in Studio City. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Lana Rae Meisner was handling a rifle when it accidentally discharged, resulting in a fatal gunshot wound to her head.
