Christian Nava, a 17-year-old Latino, was tragically killed on May 6, 2016, in Los Angeles, California. According to reports, Nava was walking along South Vermont Avenue and West 91st Street in the Westmont area around 3 p.m. when he was shot multiple times by an unidentified assailant. The shooter, described only as a black male, was standing on the southwest corner of the intersection and began firing at Nava, who was on the northwest corner.
