Ernesto Rosales, a 21-year-old resident of San Francisco, was tragically killed in the early hours of January 1, 2017. The incident occurred around 2:13 a.m. near the intersection of 26th Street and Shotwell Avenue. Officers responding to the scene found Rosales suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. This incident marked one of the first homicides in San Francisco for the year 2017.
