Sonia Gricelda Barahona De Jimenez, a 42-year-old Latina, tragically lost her life on March 15, 2017, after being shot in North Hollywood, California. The incident occurred on March 10, 2017, when Sonia went to her ex-husband's home to pick up their shared child. An argument ensued between Sonia and her ex-husband, Hector Jimenez-Garcia, a 56-year-old Latino. During the altercation, Hector pulled out a gun and shot Sonia before turning the weapon on himself.
