On the evening of October 20, 2023, in North Hollywood, California, 48-year-old Angelica Chavez was found deceased inside her SUV on the 6500 block of Riverton Avenue. Responding to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon and shots fired around 7:45 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers discovered Chavez with multiple gunshot wounds; the vehicle's engine was still running.
