Edward Downie, a 43-year-old resident of Victorville, California, tragically passed away on March 27, 2017. The incident occurred while Downie was handling a handgun in a desert area near Sunny Vista and Olivine roads. According to reports, Downie was with a female friend when the handgun accidentally discharged, striking him in the head.
