Jose Gabriel Madrigal Vargas, a 23-year-old resident of Cathedral City, California, was tragically killed on March 29, 2017, in Desert Hot Springs. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. when officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired. Upon arrival, they followed a blood trail to a house on the 66100 block of Sixth Street, where Vargas' body was discovered.
