On a Thursday morning in New Orleans, the vibrant life of the Hollygrove neighborhood was shattered by gunfire. On March 18, 2010, 37-year-old Corey Weaver, an African American male, was fatally shot in the 4200 block of Hollygrove Street. The attack also claimed the life of 25-year-old Nathaniel Allen, marking a tragic double homicide for the city.
