On July 12, 2017, the body of 21-year-old D'Angelo Charon was discovered on the side of Twin Oaks Valley Road near Gopher Canyon Road in Vista, California. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and determined that Charon had died from multiple gunshot wounds, ruling his death a homicide.
