Philip Osby, a 59-year-old man from Los Angeles, was tragically shot and killed on September 12, 2017. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 2 a.m., in an alley near the 2600 block of West Vernon Avenue in Leimert Park. Osby was found near his car, a 2016 black Hyundai Accent, which was believed to have been stolen during the shooting.
