Rafael Arturo Gonzalez, a 37-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on October 11, 2017, near the intersection of Towne and Vinton avenues in Pomona, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Pomona police responded to a call about a shooting around 9 a.m. Upon arrival, they found several bullet casings at the scene. A 911 caller reported that a man in a vehicle had been shot. Gonzalez was driven by a friend to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:07 a.m.
