On August 2, 2010, Gerald Batiste, a 22-year-old male, was fatally shot in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was found in the early hours of the morning, lying on the road in the 1900 block of Alvar Street. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m., and Batiste was pronounced dead at the scene after having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
